Fright Fest 2012 - Water Birth Edition
Here we have a beautiful scene with a newborn baby pumpkin and a mama pumpkin chillin’ in a pool of bloody water and afterbirth, aka the “metal” version of a Facebook birth announcement. The baby’s been rinsed off, obviously, but everything else is about as real as it gets. Open legs? Check. Placenta-looking mass sitting between them? Check. Blood-red water and a random, floating plastic cup for who knows what reason? You bet. Kacie and Theodore are so hard-core. And based on this picture, their friends have a lot more to look forward to. Just imagine what’s next to come:

- baby’s first meconium
- a close-up (or two) of the placenta
- barf
- fluids
- …and more!
Funnily enough, those things are also still coming up on the blog for Fright Fest (after I put up a new Mom’s Gold Star, of course). What a bloody coincidence!
