Fright Fest 2012: Happy Halloween!
It’s here! Halloween is here! And in typical blog tradition, I’ll be posting holiday-related content today along with some of the nastiest submissions in my arsenal. I’ve got several posts lined up - possibly too many, because I got behind on posting when I lost the internet during the hurricane - so you may get an added bonus of disgust tomorrow if I don’t get everything up today. Be afraid. Be very afraid. And keep in mind that I have a .gif finale lined up in which I attempt to top this from last year. ::shudder::
But first, let’s talk about the above picture. If you’re scratching your head and muttering to yourself, “Is that a sonogram tattoo? And did Bev also make it her profile picture?”, then the answers to your questions are Yes and Yes. That lil fetus is in permathought, somewhere on Bev’s body, forever immortalized in tattoo ink. It has three melty fingers on its left hand, and there is a pretzel-looking shadow next to the fetus’s giant forehead, but all in all I’d say this tattoo was money well spent. Plus, it truly shows Bev’s dedication. But I wonder if she knew that she could have just doctored up something like this:
Why am I not surprised that an account run by “Jess N Mike” has a piece of digital sonogram art? I love the “blur” effect. Very spooky - I mean, artsy. They should blow it up and stretch it on canvas for the baby’s room, or hell, the living room. That’ll help to separate the “real friends” from the “fake friends.” If someone comes over and sits in your living room and has tea and biscotti and doesn’t mention the super cool oversized piece of birth art that’s hanging over the mantle with spot lighting, well, screw those people. They don’t know love. They don’t know how beautiful birth is.
Speaking of which, look out for this year’s Fright Fest Birth Pics Round-Up. It just might make you scream.
